Monumental Sports Network
In 2022, Monumental Sports & Entertainment—owners of the Washington Capitals, Wizards and Mystics, and Capital One Arena—announced they were acquiring NBC Sports Washington, the D.C. area’s regional sports broadcasting network.
The team at Monumental came to us looking for a true partner that could help define, strategize, and build their brand with multiple brand extensions for the new local sports network. This brand would live in a variety of touch points: digital, print, video, on-screen graphics, and much more. We managed all aspects of the brand and creative work, resulting in a brand that is own-able and unique to the network. The network launched in September, 2023, exactly one year following MS&E’s acquirement.

My Role
The MSN brand and accompanying go-to-market campaign launched in September, 2023. It’s one of the most recent large-scale brand identity projects that I’ve worked on that I’m proud of and really enjoyed having a leadership role on. This was an integrated project that had a lot of touch points along the way including design for digital, social media, animation, video, OOH, and more. And, a true first for me, our team also helped to develop the on-screen broadcast graphics.
