Eastman
Founded in 1920, Eastman is a global specialty materials company that produces a broad range of products found in items people use every day. With the purpose of enhancing the quality of life in a material way, Eastman works with customers to deliver innovative products and solutions while maintaining a commitment to safety and sustainability.
In 2022, we were tasked with refreshing the Eastman brand. The goal was to create a visual and verbal identity to help set Eastman apart from their competitors, while creating an ownable brand that the Eastman teams, customers, investors, and communities could be proud of. Additionally, it was important to Eastman for the new brand to reflect their commitment to sustainability and innovation.
My Role
Creating a new identity for a century-old manufacturing company came with a unique set of challenges. The brand had to be simple yet impactful, and able to flex and adapt for the dozens of sub-brands and products sold under the Eastman name. The end result was a fresh and modern identity that helped to convey the future of Eastman and their responsibility toward making a more positive impact on the environment.
